With great excitement we would like to welcome back home to San Diego and the Jr. Gulls, Randy Moy and the Moy family! Coach Moy has been a pillar in the San Diego hockey community for many years. He will be re-joining the Jr. Gulls as the new Club President and as a Head Coach.
Randy's playing, coaching, and hockey leadership experience is very extensive and impressive. He is a former NCAA division I player at Western Michigan University. He is a former NCAA division I coach at Ferris State and U.S. International University, as well as a NCAA division III coach at St. Thomas College. He has coached many teams over the years from AAA to B and has won a state championship for the Jr. Gulls and has been a state finalist twice at the AA level. Randy is well known for developing some of the best players to come out of San Diego and the Jr. Gulls with many of his players being selected for the U.S. National Select Camp and playing Junior A, Major Juniors, and committing to NCAA division I Universities.
Randy and Susanna have two kids, Tyler Moy (95) and Keely Moy (98). Tyler will be playing Junior A in the USHL this coming season and has committed to play NCAA Division I for Harvard University. Keely was a co-captain and leading scorer on our Jr. Gulls State Champion Peewee team and this past season she played Girls 14U AAA in Chicago and finished second in scoring in the Tier I Elite League.
It is a very exciting time to be a part of the Jr. Gulls Family and we look forward to what the future has in store for all our players and families. We will see you at the pre-tryout skates starting May 29th and the tryouts starting June 8th (tryout times will be out this week).
