Head Coach Jay Hebert

2010/11 Midget 18AA

Jay Hebert  was born in Troy, New York  and played prep school hockey at Loomis-Chaffee.  In 1994 he received full athletic scholarship to University of Massachusetts.

 

 

College Hockey Experience: 1994-1998

Received full athletic scholarship to University of Massachusetts 1994

Transferred to State University of New York @ Oswego 1995-98’

• All conference 95’-96’, 97’-98’

• NCAA All American Candidate 95’-96’, 97’-98’

• NCAA Senior All Star Game participant 1998

 

Professional Hockey Experience: 1998-2003

Competed in Anaheim Mighty Ducks training camp 1998

Played 5 seasons in the minors

 

Coaching Experience: 2003-2010

• CAHA State Championship tournament qualifier

  • Evan Schmidbauer - 1st Round NAHL Draft Pick
    The San Diego Jr Gulls would like to congratulate Evan Schmidbauer for being drafted in the North American Hockey League (NAHL) 2010 draft.  Evan was also the first California player to be drafted. First round, 25th over all by the Wenatchee Wild.
